Care & Warranty

Warranty

How long is my jewellery guaranteed for?

Every piece of Azuni jewellery is guaranteed from the date of purchase for 24 months, or items made from Gold Plate Vermeil for 36 months, subject to normal conditions of 'wear and tear'.

How do I get a replacement?

For the warranty to be valid you will have to return your faulty item to us, and provide details of the original purchase. All items returned as faulty will be inspected, and any item displaying damage deemed to be a result of an accident or fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty. Items accepted as faulty will either be repaired or replaced free of charge. In the first instance please email info@azuni.co.uk or give us a call on +44 (020) 8995 1100.

Care for your jewellery

How do I stop tangling and scratching?

We recommend keeping your Azuni jewellery fastened and placed separately in the soft Azuni pouch it was delivered in. When not using your jewellery for longer periods of time, simply wrap separately in a soft cloth or tissue paper.

How do I prevent tarnishing?

All silver or gold-plated jewellery will eventually tarnish due to oxygen in the air. The best thing we can advise is to keep your jewellery in an airtight plastic bag, safely inside your Azuni branded pouch. This way, your jewellery will stay looking at its best for years to come.

Avoid swimming or bathing while wearing gold-plated or silver jewellery, and remove rings when washing your hands. Swimming pools that contain chlorine and salt water can tarnish precious metals and gemstones by dulling or eroding them. Soapy water when bathing and showering can also leave a thin film which can dull the metal.

Avoid using ‘dip’ polish or abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can destroy your jewellery over time. We also do not recommend the use of any jewellery polishing cloths which have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents. Finally, be sure not to spray perfume over your jewellery when getting ready for that big night out! Instead make sure it’s the last thing you put on.

How should I clean my jewellery

To maintain the natural colour and shine of silver and gold and to avoid oxidation or tarnishing, gently clean your silver jewellery regularly with a jewellery polishing cloth. Tissue paper or paper towels can cause scratches. We also suggest that you visit a jeweller once a year to have your jewellery cleaned professionally.

How do I look after gemstones?

The best single piece of advice we can give you is to wipe your precious stone jewellery with a clean, soft damp cloth after wearing. This little habit will ensure that your jewellery is always looking its best. When your gemstone jewellery is not being worn, we recommend keeping it the bespoke Azuni pouch it came in.

Any other tips?

Be mindful when wearing your jewellery...especially long necklaces! Your hand-made pieces are delicate and may break if caught on something. Equally, be careful wearing your jewellery when looking after babies and toddlers...as a family business, we should know!
