Welcome to our first official blog! And what could be more appropriate than to start with splashing Azuni's return to the stunning Central American inspired beadwork. This is where Azuni was born, over 15 years ago, when a much younger yet just as passionate, curious and enegetic Ashley Marshall downed his cooking tools and boarded a plane to Cental America....following a childhood dream! One year later having spent a year with Guatamalan tribal people, Ashley traded his pallette of culinary colours for one of gemstones and metals. And here the Azuni story truly began.
Azuni has always endeavoured to create blend of cultures, marrying ancient skills and ideas with modern techniques and fashion trends. "Ideas and designs, between two worlds to meet the need of today's urban tribes."
In Spring 2014, Azuni have relaunched their trademark beadwork, working directy with native central american indians. This has always been a key source of passion and inspiration for Ashley, striving for ethical and fair trade. Together they have produced some stunning work throughout the years.
