Last week i went to Hong Kong to view some packaging and displays for our up and coming shows. Here are some photos of the fantastic city.
Despite the fact it was raining and overcast it was still very exciting to be amongst the huge skyscrapers and walk around the buzzing streets and food markets.
A traditional water dragon scupture in the middle of the city, these are everywhere!
Despite being 1000's of miles from London i came across a Jaime's Italian and couldn't help trying it out on my first night, and boy the food was great. The crab bruschetta was amazing!
I did try something a little more traditional too, prawn dim sum and a Chinese lager. Yummy!!
A trip to the local fish market and some prawns Hong Kong style.
Thinking of using Metalic tans and beige in my displays. Hmm suede or leather, decisions decisions...
A quick look around the show and im loving these shark tooth necklaces (not real shark teeth!).
The spectacular light show that is shown across the skyscrapers every night is unforgettable and reminded me of the 80's film "Blade Runner" with the buildings shrouded in fog.
I was then off to Thailand for a very short stay to see my stone suppliers. One hint if you're going to Bangkok, if you get on a motorbike taxi you are taking your life in your own hands. i think i'm lucky to still be alive!
After a brief trip across the border to Thailand it was time to head back to England.
Until next time.
